 Job vacancy: Manager in finance and accounting

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manages, coordinates, and organizes the tasks of the Finance and Accounting Department so that at all times it can assess the status of assets and sources of funds, as well as the status of income and expenses.
  • Posting and recording all business transactions in the Company (bank statements, incoming and outgoing invoices, advances, expenses by place of origin, etc.).
  • Preparation of accounting and financial foundations for the development of the Business Plan (profit and loss statement, balance sheet, investment plan, etc.).
  • Determining the amount of available financial resources for the planning period (financial structure);
  • Takes care of the calculation and payment of legal obligations (direct and indirect taxes).
  • Ensures the reconciliation of the subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
  • Management of financial and material accounting.
  • Prepares and assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports according to the prescribed forms of the Statistical Office and other external institutions.
  • Follows professional literature in the field of finance and accounting.
  • Conducts training and provides instructions to employees for the proper execution of specific tasks.
  • Organizes smooth operations and ensures adequate replacement for employees who are absent for any justified reason.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of employees in the department, proposing improvements and potential incentives/penalties.
  • Conducts annual reconciliation of accounting balances based on subsidiary records.
  • Application of IFRS – International Financial Reporting Standards in daily operations.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with external auditors.
  • Organizes the preparation of periodic and annual reports for the Company.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Calculation and posting of employee salaries in the Company.
  • Submission of specifications and all prescribed forms to the tax authority in accordance with the law (salary specifications, MIP, GIP, municipal taxes, property taxes, etc.).
  • Monitors and maintains communication with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the director.

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Higher Education – Faculty of Economics.
  • At least three years of work experience in a managerial position (preferred qualification).
  • Certificate for the title of Certified Accountant.
  • - Communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Independence in performing tasks.
  • Knowledge of English (preferred qualification).
  • Strong business and organizational skills.
  • MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and others).
